Some of the images I took in New York using fujifim W3. Minor tweaking in lightroom
These images were taken on Brooklyn Bridge. Using the wires on the bridge my aim was to use them as the foreground so that when they are viewed through the stereoscope its is separated from the background. I think these images work really well in 3D because the viewer is able to move round the image, and its appears like you can look round the wires giving a sense of space.
I feel that these images only works in 3D because in 2D it would appear very flat. The wires and buildings would just look like lines and shapes and would distract from the landscape, giving no sense of depth.
These were taken in Central Park.
My aim was to use various landscape scenes to create a sense of space and depth.
This image was taken on Coney Island. I feel this is also a good example of how 3D can be used to separated the foreground from the background. In 2D all the lines and shape would merge into one therefore appearing very flat.
I took these to images from the top of the empire state building. I wanted to show New York from a different viewpoint.
I like these images and feel they work well in 3D. I think they give the viewer a good sense of depth and also draws the viewer in. When asking people what they thought of these images they said they felt like they were falling some even said it made them feel like they were leaning over and gave them vertigo.
Although these images work I feel that they could do with some adjustments with brightness and contrast to create a better effect.
